F&F Member Potluck Summer Harvest Gathering: At the end of August, we gathered at Tudek Park to celebrate the summer harvest, and to meet with fellow F&F owner-members.
2nd Annual Pie Contest: Pennsylvania Certified Organic held the 4th Annual FarmFest on August 7th & 8th, 2015. For the second year in a row, Friends & Farmers Cooperative has held a Pie Contest. Local bakers don their aprons and bake their favorite pies and enter them into the contest. Between 1-3pm on Saturday, the community pick up their plates and forks to judge the pies.
Member Kickoff Event: March 2nd, 2014 was a huge milestone for Friends & Farmers Co-op. Our Member Kickoff Event was the first time excited community members were able to become member-owners.
Farm Fest Pie Contest: We had an awesome turn out for our first Pie Contest at the Pennsylvania Certified Organic Farm Fest on August 2nd, 2014. Both homemade and professionally made pies were donated for the fundraiser. The pies were judged by the community and all had a great time tasting the pies!

Behind the scenes: Board meetings, volunteer meetings, cheers to meeting milestones and summer meetings potluck style.
“Local on the Menu” Dinner and Drinks at Spats Cafe: Chef Duke Gastiger created an amazing array of food from 15 local farmers and producers on January 25th, 2014. The food was fantastic and the restaurant was packed at this sold out event.
Greenmoore Gardens Harvest Dinner: Over 125 attendees came out for a farm to table dinner hosted at Green Moore Gardens in support of the Friends & Farmers Cooperative. This successful fundraiser raised funds to launch our website. Folks shared a large family style meal with vegan and vegetarian options, sampled tasty brews from local brewers of Otto’s and Elk Creek Cafe and Ale Works, and enjoyed tunes from the Tussey Mtn. Moonshiners. Kids painted pumpkins and joined parents on farm tours. The evening ended with music and glow sticks around a bonfire.
Incorporation Event: In April 2012, Friends & Farmers Cooperative officially became a subchapter T corporation. We had appointed an interim board and our bylaws had been written. This called for a celebration. Over 70 community members came out for a family friendly potluck with many dishes highlighting local ingredients. WPSU was there to cover the event. Hannah the poet farmer shared her skills. Hoola hoops were a hit. Friends & Farmers raised over 700 dollars from an online auction of farm shares and produce donated by local farmers.
Crop Mob: A group of F&F board members and volunteers helped plant 9,000 cloves of garlic at Jade Family Farm on October 19th 2013.
