Welcome to Friends & Farmers Food Co-op

We are working hard to bring a member-owned grocery store to State College that serves and supports the entire Centre Region. Our focus is to fill our grocery store with as much locally grown and produced food and goods as possible.

In the fall of 2014 we started our Online Market. Launched as a stepping stone to opening a brick and mortar store, the Online Market offers tangible progress toward the Friends & Farmers mission: to support and grow the local food economy while offering customers delicious, locally grown and produced food.

Online Market started home delivery option on March 17, 2015.

Friends & Farmers Makes Its First Hires!

When the community builds something that does not currently exist, milestones are especially important. The co-op’s latest milestone is all about building the talent to make this vision a reality.

Friends & Farmers recently offered part-time positions to two women who were already fulfilling many of these tasks as volunteers. As the demands of this cooperative increase, the Board of Directors believed it was important to make these roles official, creating a level of accountability inherent in a paid position.

We are pleased to announce Stacey Budd as Outreach Coordinator and Melanie Rosenberger as the new Online Market Manager.
